Hey there, and welcome to the daily public media wildfires update.

While many of our favorite spots are still closed due to the remaining high wind and fire risk, a new normal is starting to creep back throughout the city. Several affected schools are reopening later this week, and most of the museums are open following the fires and the MLK holiday.

Today, read up on the new tax extension approved by the IRS, learn which Hollywood stars are showing their anger over the handling of the fires, and get your moment of reflection with a poem from LA native Amanda Gorman.

And get ready to hit that refresh button to score tickets to the big FireAid show with Billie Eilish, Katy Perry, Green Day, and more at the Intuit Dome and the Kia Forum next week. Tickets go on sale today.

Stay safe.
